Description The Sales Engineer is responsible for pre sales technical architecture solutions within Applicaster. An ideal Sales Engineer would have a good understanding of workflows for media delivery, a love for front end clients and have the ability to simplify, explain, and present complex technical concepts to an end customer.Duties & Responsibilities: · Be a technical resource for internal east coast territory sales managers as well as the customer they interface with. This may require creating solutions that help overcome technical, procedural, and platform obstacles issues that arise.· Assist in pre sales discussions with the understanding of app architecture, 3rd integration, our Zapp platform and changes that may be necessary to bring a customer to a successful engagement.· Troubleshooting customer issues and finding sustainable solutions.· Demonstrate the ability to work independently with little guidance.· Ultimately work in a fast-paced startup environment and be ready to make a difference.
Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or similar work experience.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:· Solid understanding of the mobile app ecosystem and environment for iOS and Android.· Good understanding of OTT market, platforms and features.· Solid understanding of media delivery architectures and end client workflows for publishers.· Solid understanding of “how the internet works” including websites, database/API, etc.
in a media or enterprise environment.· Plus for React Native, Swift, or Android native development experience· Positive and professional and ready to be thrown into situations with customers or cross-functional teams to assess, develop, and prioritize solutions.· Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up with current technical trends, and being able to get your hands dirty at times.OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:· Experience in a customer-facing and sales-aligned role and demonstrate versatility.· Understanding of Mobile app technologies (iOS, Android) and software development.· Understanding of Media delivery workflows (linear and IP streaming)· Understanding of OTT platforms and application (Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Smart TVs)· Working with multiple time-zones across the US.· Located in NYCSPECIAL
