Bacharach, a recognized leader in physical rehabilitation is seeking a per-diem Cook to join our Nutritional Services Department.
Duties include responsibility for complete meal preparation for patients, staff and visitors (prepare, season and cook quality and aesthetically pleasing food) along with open/close of kitchen. Two years experience in institutional cooking, preferably in a healthcare setting and knowledge of modified diets desirable. Competent in performance of basic cooking techniques and application of standard food preparation principles and experience/skill to prep and prepare a large variety of dishes from scratch including, soups, entrees and side dishes in accordance with recipes and established procedures. Ability to multitask, calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings and ServSafe certification required. Completion of accredited culinary program a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills and dependability / punctuality a must. Coverage for weekday and weekend shifts between 6am – 7pm, and holiday rotation.
